TOMFOOLERY - MEET THE CAST MEMBERS
Phil Hart - Philip has been active in local community theater for many years, appearing in productions with Blue Light Players, Riverwalk Theatre, Lansing Community College and Evolve Theatrics. He holds a degree in Professional Communications and works full-time in the the insurance industry. Phil was introduced to the music of Tom Lehrer by his grandmother when was probably too young to be listening. However, performing in this production brought back fond memories of his grandmother.
Bill Henson - Bill is no stranger to Lansing area community theater, having appeared in productions with Blue Light Players, Evolve Theatrics, Riverwalk Theatre, Starlight Dinner Theatre, Lansing Community College, and Owosso Community Players. He is a retired public school choir teacher, and continues to teach at Olivet College as well as privately. When not on stage, Bill enjoys spending time with his dog Daisy and visiting his home "up north". Bill has been a fan of Tom Lehrer for many years and actually appeared in a production of Tomfoolery at Olivet College a number of years ago.
Monica Hiris - Monica is delighted to be making her second appearance with Evolve Theatrics, after appearing in Standing on Ceremony earlier this year. Monica is a resident of Bowling Green, Ohio. Locally she has most recently been part of The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later and Talking With. She has appeared in a number of indie films and web series and will be filming Severed this summer. Monica began acting five years ago at a rather advanced age with virtually no acting experience, little theatre knowledge and dubious coordination. She is currently in an acting program at Michigan Actors Studio.
Elizabeth Johnson - Elizabeth has been performing with Lansing-area community theater groups for the past seven years, finally taking to the stage after more than a decade supporting her kids in their high school theater pursuits. She has performed with Starlight Dinner Theatre (Nunsense: the Megamusical, Red Carpet Melodies), Blue Light Players (the Music Man, Rock of Ages, Oliver Annie, Dreams of Broadway), Evolve Theatrics (Alice in Wonderland, Winter Cabaret, Standing on Ceremony), and the St. Casimir Players (Drinking Habits). She grew up listening to her dad's Tom Lehrer albums on the hi-fi and is thrilled to be performing them in Tomfoolery.
Lorena Krauss - Lorena is an 11 year old who likes to act, dance and sing. She has been acting since she was 9 years old. Some of her past plays with Evolve Theatrics are the virtual production of Winter Cabaret and Alice in Wonderland. Lorena has also performed with All of Express and in the Young Artisan Program at Riverwalk Theatre.
Michelle Smith - Michelle has recently become involved in the community theater scene, both on and off stage. She has appeared on stage with Andromeda Theater and Evolve Theatrics, and worked behind the scenes at Riverwalk Theatre. Theater tends to be a family affair for Michelle and she appears in Tomfoolery alongside her husband Tracy Smith. In past productions, she has performed with her daughters. It is safe to say that theater might run in their family blood.
Tracy Smith - Tracy has appeared on community theater stages with Andromeda Theater and Evolve Theatrics. He has also worked behind the scenes with Riverwalk Theatre and Peppermint Creek Theatre. Tracy loves all aspects of creating theater magic. He also loves working on productions alongside his wife Michelle and his daughters, when their schedules allow.
Jocelyn Snitgen - Jocelyn is 14 years old and is going to be a freshman at Grand Ledge High school next year. She has been doing theater since she was 7 and has been in numerous theater productions such as Newsies, Coraline, Willy Wonka and more. She will also be appearing as Matilda in Evolve Theatrics production of Matilda this summer. Jocelyn would like to thank Evolve Theatrics for lighting up the vitual stage and asking her to be a part of it.
Marty Snitgen - Marty is excited to be involved in another Evolve Theatrics production with his daughter Jocelyn. Marty has previously performed with Evolve Theatrics/Blue Light Players in the Winter Cabaret, Dreams of Broadway Cabaret show and as Roosevelt in Newsies. He will also be reprising his role as the Children's Entertainer in this summer's production of Matilda. He hopes everyone enjoys this Foolery of Tom's.
Abigail Tykocki - Abigail is geeked to perform in her second Evolve Theatrics production having recently been seen in Standing on Ceremony. She works as communications specialist for the MSU Department of Theatre and is core faculty for the Arts, Cultural Management and Museum Studies program. Locally she has been onstage with Riverwalk Theatre, Lansing Civic Players, Holt/Dimondale Players, and Ixion and backstage with Peppermint Creek and Starlight Theatre. Abbie lives in East Lansing with her husband, son, and rescue pup. She also serves on the East Lansing Arts Commission and as President of the Pinecrest Neighborhood Association.
Nathan Tykocki - Nathan is happy to be making his Evolve Theatrics debut. By day, Nathan is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology/Toxicology at Michigan State University. Favorite roles include Bobby in Company (Stowe Theatre Guild) and Tony in West Side Story (Owosso Community Players). He has also worked as a Sound Designer for Riverwalk Theatre and Girls Nite Out Productions and did the Special Effects for Peppermint Creek production of God of Carnage. Nathan lives in East Lansing with his wife, son, and rescue pup. He also serves as Scoutmaster for Pack 180.
